+ Why is the administrator not listed in the Dropbox Recipient area?
To list yourself in the recipient list, you must enable this feature. Under the Admin tab, select Edit Settings tab on the left-hand navigation bar. Check the box marked Add my account as Dropbox recipient. Click Save button. You may verify this feature by accessing your Dropbox URL.
+ What happens if I want to re-add my users?
When re-adding sub-users, the users will receive a Corporate-Suite Administrator account invitation email containing an activation link they will need to click on to accept the administrator account invitation again. This will allow the sub-user to accept the invitation, and be listed as a 'Active' user in your administrator user list. You will need to refresh your user list to view the 'Active' state of the sub-user that accepted the invitation.
+ What happens if my paid administrator is downgraded or removed?
All accounts under control of the administrator will be downgraded to the lite account status. All files belonging to downgraded accounts will be accessible to the former sub users.
+ What happens if my promotional account administrator is downgraded or removed?
All accounts under control of the administrator under a promotional offering will be downgraded to their previous account status. All files belonging to downgraded accounts will be accessible to the former sub users.
+ Can I have two administrators on our Corporate Suite account?
There can only be one administrator designated for each Corporate Suite account.
+ Can I sort my sub-user list alphabetically?
Yes, you can click on the any column heading to sort by that column.
+ How can I change the 14-day file expiration limit?
Click Show file expiration options before sending your files. You will have the option to extend the file expiration date or limit the number of downloads.
+ How do I cancel my Promo Corporate Suite administrator account?
If you choose not to upgrade to a paid Corporate Suite account after two weeks, your account will automatically be downgraded to its previous account type.
+ If I am an administrator, can I control which user gets long term storage?
This feature is being considered for future release.
+ How do I convert my users to their previous account status?
If you do not sign up for the Corporate Suite service your user's accounts will be downgraded to their previous account state.
+ If I sign up for a fixed number of seats, how can I add more seats?
+ How does a sender send a file to my dropbox?
Give your dropbox URL to the person who wants to send you a file. You can find your dropbox URL under the My Account tab branding option.
+ Does YouSendIt keep backups of long term files?
Yes, files are replicated to ensure that multiple copies of your file are always available for download.
+ Can I forward files to new users after I've sent them?
Login to your YouSendIt account and select any of these options: Inbox, Sent Items, Tracking, or My Files. Select the line or multiple lines containing the file you want to forward. Click on the Forward button above the list of files. This will direct you to the Send File page where you finish addressing and selecting options. Click on Send It button to deliver the file.
+ How does a sender send a file to my dropbox?
Give your dropbox URL to the person who wants to send you a file. You can find your dropbox URL under the My Account tab branding option.
+ Can my files be modified by the administrator of my account?
The administrator can only list, delete files, and download files. The administrator cannot replace or modify existing files.
+ What happens if I have a paid account and I accept an invitation from an administrator?
Your account will no longer be charged while the account is part of a Corporate Suite account. The administrator will have the ability to list, delete, and download any existing files in your account.
+ What happens to my account if my administrator removes me from the Corporate Suite account?
Your files will keep their existing status.
+ What happens to my account if my Corporate Suite administrator cancels his account?
One of two things can happen:
- If the administrator signed up via a promotion you will be reverted back to your previous account type.
- If the administrator signed up on a paid subscription, all accounts will be reverted to Lite account status.
+ Does the administrator receive notifications when files are uploaded to the administrator Dropbox?
No, only selected recipients will receive notification.
+ If a sub user is deleted from a Corporate Suite account, what happens to the deleted user's files?
Only the administrator will have access to the deleted user's files. The administrator will have the ability to list, delete, and download any existing files in that account.
+ If I have an account type that is no longer offered by YouSendIt, and I accept an invitation to join a Corporate Suite account will I be able to revert back to my previous account type?
No, your account will be reverted back to a Lite account.
+ Why are my users not receiving their invitations to join the Corporate Suite account?
The activation email is most likely in their spam or junk mail box. Please check with your mail administrator to make sure that emails from YouSendIt are not being blocked. If you are still having issues receiving our emails, please
contact us.
+ As an administrator, why am I not able to approve or deny a user with pending status?
The user must accept invitations by clicking on the link in the notification email. The approve or deny actions are not applicable to users with pending status.
+ I tried to remove a user but he is still in my list of users.
Removed users will remain in your user list with a status of 'removed.'
+ How do I give my users a Dropbox?
Click on the Admin tab, then the Manage Users tab. Select the user(s) checkbox in the User List. Click the Dropbox button, and select Add to recipients list. Click OK.
+ What is long-term storage?
Long-term storage allows files to be stored permanently on YouSendIt's servers. The file will never be deleted from the system until an administrator or owner of the file does so.
+ How long does it take for a file to be physically deleted from YouSendIt's storage system?
Although download access is disabled immediately, it can take up to 2 hours for a file to be deleted from YouSendIt's storage system.
